Sheikh Fareed says He Has Already Served His Sentence and Should be Freed

The controversial religious preacher, Sheikh Fareed, has hit out at his continued detention, claiming he should now be a free man after more than serving his sentence.On 26th September 2004 Fareed was sentenced to two years imprisonment for anti-government religious preaching. However, Fareed says he had already spent two years in jail prior to the sentence following his arrest in June 2002 for a sermon said to be anti-government. more
